there were weird actual posts that came up from time to time with rando subjects heavily monetized by black rifle sponsorship several accounts would pop up underneath it who would make a two word reference to the subject in the video then talk about how good the coffee was and have sock puppet conversations.

im damn sure i remember seeing an actual 'blackriflecoffeecompany' account and im damn sure i remember them being shat on repeatedly for not er.... i dont know what the process was.... but like registering as an advertiser.

anyway it actually stopped after a couple of months if i remember correctly, a couple of people kept on calling out the sockpuppets and they spat the dummy abused the fuck out of people then noped out.

sockpuppets were and are rampant on old and new voat. one or two people have a good dozen or so accounts and do shit like show up with an almost identical nick to another goat, say their account got hacked, and then when the real account holder shows up, about a dozen other fake accounts with names almost identical to known goats show up and start bashing that real user.
