What makes it based? Foreign made (not always bad), non-white made (not always bad, but often is), and virtue signalling about the environment. It's not stacking up to great.

I guess wool is kind of based. But what about the methane produced by the sheep?

I hate the bullshit about sustainability, but the tops being made out of wool, I support. Are they lined with polyester, because that's made from the oil they think is sinful.

How much resources did they use recycling poly to make the shoe laces, and the aglets will be plastic.

Sustainable is only for the big egos.

While the upper on our Wool Runners are made of merino wool, the Tree Runners are made with Tencel, which is created from Eucalyptus trees.
