I'm self taught, only sewing for a few years now, so I'm always looking for better, smarter, or even old time ways to get the job done. I love making something from nothing, totally rewarding and satisfying to the soul, I should have kicked that sewing machine's ass sooner.
My doc mentioned last year it was hard for some of her older sicker patients to find masks and she asked me to make a few. So I did. And then more and more. I made a ton and donated a ton to nurses and fire fighter/paramedics, really to anyone who felt like they needed one.
I begrudge no one when it comes to wearing a mask. The older folks, chemo patients, and the otherwise sick should have been the only ones who needed them (but we know the rest of that story).
I felt blessed not to need one and blessed that I picked up sewing when I did so that I could make as many as I did. It was an honorable mission making them.
