Hunter gatherers have no concept of time beyond the now.

Their languages generally lack the words to even talk coherently about the future or long term plans.

They had no need for such things. The tropics and subtropics they evolved in lacked the scarcity of harsh winters and provided easy sustenance all year round. No need to plan, no need to think ahead, no need to cooperate beyond your hunting party, no need to sacrifice short term pleasure for long term reward, no need to develop compassion or reciprocity.

They take what they want. Quickly. Aggressively. Before someone else gets it. If they can see it, it is already theirs in their mind. If you step in their way, and tell them they cannot have it, you are doing them a grave injustice. Surely, you just want them to suffer.

Creatures such as them and creatures such as us cannot coexist peacefully in the same territory. Our values, our ideals, our way of thinking, and how we see the world... we are far too different in every way. And so we will always suffer in the presence of the other. And so it will always lead to conflict.
