She continued driving for 3 minutes… That is really pushing it. She could’ve been destroying evidence or who knows what. That being said, I am sure there are other tactics to get her to pullover that should be used first that are “safer” - like pulling next to her with the microphone commanding her to pull over, etc.
I’m sure they city will settle the civil suit to make this go away.l.
I've been in a similar situation and the cop was mad at me. What I learned is that our sense of scale on the road is inaccurate and our cars are much smaller than we think they are. You can get over.
I say this really to agree with you. Cops are completely blind to other people's perception and unfamiliarity with the act of pulling over on a highway with no shoulder. They think their training and what they do everyday and what's in their heads magically transfers into other people. They are too stupid to work with other people, much less interact with other people in situations with serious stakes. The choice of the government to intentionally hire people with below average education and intelligence to do high stakes jobs is a malicious level of oversight.
