Are you surprised? I bet they failed reading comprehension, too.

My lack of reading comprehension is probably not helping here, but according to my calculator, it’s actually only 40%.

Apparently heygeorge is a Texan schoolboy!

37% to be accurate.

And they didn't "fail" it, they scored at below grade level. So, while they may be a 7th grader, they have ther math skills, say, of one who had completed 6th grade curriculum.

Let me ask you a question:

How would you describe demonstrated math skills at a lower level than one’s educational level? A success? Or?

I’m not surprised at most of the other respondents here, but I did expect a little more from you. Only @GrayDragon seemingly caught the humour and obvious parody of the headline.

I fully expected @Try to be autistic about it.

:D

LOL, goddamn it. I hate missing the joke.

I was angling at "online learning is retarded and worthless" rather than thinking about this in a humorous way. The othr angle was, "Well, when you flood the state with retarded guatemalans, you get retarded schoolchildren."

LOL, goddamn it. I hate missing the joke.

You are a doxxer after all. I suppose I might have expected.

And I have to apologize to @try, as it wasn’t him but @out who went full autism’s.

33% failed reading comprehension.

Looks like @heygeorge is one of those 33%, lol.

heygeorge successfully trolling this entire thread and not bothering to respond even once. Mission accomplished!

Standard modus operandi for subversion. Never sure if trolling or just sending a message.

My God, it's a joke about percentages ...

This is where some of you folk just go too far.

But they are out to get you.

[ - ] derpfroot 1 point 2.8 yearsJul 1, 2021 12:28:12 ago (+1/-0)

This trend was true for students of all races...but more pronounced for Black and Hispanic students.

So nothing's changed, then.

Better derate the schools for racial inequality.

It's 37% retard, but I wouldn't have been shocked if it was 85%.

I quit school halfway through my sophomore year of high school. Math was my worst subject by far. I was in the retard math class (heygeorge was probably sitting next to me) because I just didn't give a shit about learning it, I hated it that much.

I took a year off, worked a part time job, then moved to Texas. I then took the Texas GED and scored better than 80% of Texas students, despite having less than half the time spent in high school as them.

Texas is great for some things man, but education and intelligence is not one of those things. And being minority white now, certainly doesn't help.

Yeah, I hated math in HS as well. When I went to uni it was one of my favorite subjects. So much so that I got one of my degrees in it.

Even back in the dinosaur age math teachers sucked. Once it became automated and systematized, cutting out much of the teachers themselves, I became really fucking good at it. Go figure.

They were too busy learning about George Floyd and BLM, and trying to figure out which bathroom they should use.

To be fair I am astonishingly intelligent and I didn't do well in those subjects In school. English in particular really got my goat. Like, hello, I'm speaking to you in English right now. I'm writing to you in English right now asshole. But school system thinks me knowing wtf a conjugate is and how to write technically perfect sentences is more important than learning shit that would have actually been useful to me as an adult.

It's something you have to practice at. And use a robotic teacher, the human ones are just fucking awful at teaching math.

[ - ] Mr_ 0 points 2.8 yearsJul 1, 2021 08:20:41 ago (+0/-0)

Most districts had a period of pass fail but teachers could not actually fail anyone, and for virtual learning there was no attendance check. Guess which type of students showed up.
