Is there an app for security cameras?

I bought a Kindle Fire 8 for $32 and I regret it a little I see the 10" 1080p <7os for $43 used on eBay...

The OS is so bad but supposedly everyone is able to install Google Play so like, I can't root this version to Linux or windows so is there a Google Play app? I was thinking to run blue iris? on a cheap laptop and router so worst case the tablet can go to a web browser to see video..

MotionEye OS is pretty awesome for the Raspberry Pi. You can record video to an external HDD or stream it to a NAS.

Hope it helps you. I shit canned my doorbell cam in favor of a Pi Zero running this software as a replacement and I'm pretty impressed.

There are security camera apps for Android: https://play.google.com/store/search?q=security%20camera

I have used an Android phone as a webcam. The quality was great. The lag was bad to horrible. https://freeappsforme.com/best-webcam-apps/
