I’m hungry now that chicken and egg rice looked good

I do like Japanese food.

I feel bad leaving a negative comment but I need to get this off of my chest. I've never really liked any metal that came out of Japan. There is something about metal being natural to Northern Europeans even though we didn't evolve with it. I feel like really good metal taps into that. And the Japanese, while I like many of the things they do, there is always something missing in their metal, or something that doesn't belong.

Like even mediocre metal bands, compared to their peers, in the Western Hemisphere can still be good metal. I don't even think the best Japanese metal band can be called good metal. For example, I was just thinking of this band, Baroness. Very few would say they are the very best metal band ever to exist, but they do qualify as what metal should sound like without inclusion of unfitting gimmicks. I don't think even the best Japanese metal band could beat a mediocre western band in terms of creating metal you would listen to just for the sake of listening to metal.

Weird opinion I know, but I'm just going to put it out there.
