I had an uncle that was captured in Vietnam. He was just an engineer; he never fired a shot although I think he wish he had. When he was alive, he wouldn’t discuss what happened. He hated all Asians after that experience, and drank himself to death..I believe he was tortured, and he saw some terrible things. I’m no fan of McCain, but I don’t think he got special treatment. Torture was part of the package, especially for pilots.
