Unrelated, but there have been incidents in Ireland where bodies are found buried out in the bogs. Bogs are weird things where bacteria can’t really survive so nothing rots or decays in them. So when the bodies do turn up sometimes murder investigations are launched because they look like they only died recently despite having been in the bogs for millennia.

Cool they’ve managed to find 12 bodies from something that happened less than a century ago though. 12 down, 5,999,988 to go.
