There are a lot of Russians in that area that basically fit the stereotypical Nordic type. I think that surprises some people.

Look at those Finno-Ugrics.

Finland often has a reputation as the blondest country in the world. But I think it may be Norway.

All the north of Europe was in general blonde in those days except for the Sami people in the north and a few other outliers.
