Those fuckers come corkscrewing right out of the ground.

We use a metal pole and hit it with a hammer.

I see they got inspired by the book/movie "Dune".

There's a trick where you pulverize fresh green walnuts, mix with water and pour on the ground that brings them up.

My Grandmother told me about something similar to this and we used it to bring up the worms. You drive the stick into the ground like they did (or a metal rod) and then you start tapping it with a hammer or whatever. ALSO at my grandmothers house one day we discovered that pouring bleach onto the ground brings them up like crazy. LOL...had some bleach in water for some reason and dumped it. That brought them up the most.

Getting off the ground means to get out of it for a worm. As if out in the open is safer. Pretty interesting.
Kinda like them saying we need immigrunts.

Thanks for that. I did not know it was fear of hungry moles that made them flee to surface.

Could be that or maybe they think rain is dropping down and they are about to get drowned if they don't come up.
