I remember this on .co; I believe the problem was that the company was charging so much for the inflatable canvas that it was cheaper to build literally anything else out of conventional materials instead.

Additionally, the DoD is the #1 user of non-permanent or semi-permanent structures in the world. There's a reason they don't really use this method of construction at scale. So for instance, Bagram AFB in Afganistan has been under DoD control since 2001 (20+ years of occupation), yet even now in 2021 many of the structures are tents, shantys, or those prefab bunkhouses. There are a couple more permanent "traditional" structures but not many.

Yep. $30k for that thing. Although now that lumber prices have been artificially inflated for now reason it might be more price competitive now.
