The International Red Cross disputes those numbers, even the 1.5 gorillion figure. In 1979, the placed the total number at 271,301. From this article:

"Red Cross and East German government figures put the total deaths at every camp as 272.000, and 282,000 respectively which includes homosexuals, communists, gypsies, murderers, paedophiles etc."

That means EVERYONE, not just jews. This report is on display at the IRC headquarters in Switzerland. (So another Voat users tells me.)

Yes, both are from Auschwitz, with the 1.5 Million being the updated plaque.

Old count: 2 Million plus original 4 Million (Auschwitz) = 6 Million
