While the report is focused on data from 2019 and prior years, FBI Director Christopher Wray stated recently in congressional testimony that the number of yearly domestic terrorism investigations has doubled to approximately 2,000, since the time frame covered by the report. Indeed, the FBI is in the midst of one of the largest investigations in its history: prosecuting those involved in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. The arrestees range from traditional domestic terrorism subjects (think hardened militia members and white supremacists) to the more mundane soccer dads taking selfies in the Senate rotunda. The FBI may be facing a tricky question in future reports as it decides whether to code the arrests of more than 445 individuals involved in the attack as domestic terrorism cases, which would be more than triple the number of domestic terrorism arrests in 2019.
The domestic terrorism report warns that lone attackers with easily accessible weapons present the greatest terrorism threat to the United States. “Our agencies had high confidence in this assessment based on the demonstrated capability of [racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists] in 2019 to select weapons and targets to conduct attacks, and the effectiveness of online [racially or ethnically motivated violent extremist] messaging calling for increased violence,” the report says. “Additionally, other [domestic violent extremists] likely would continue to engage in non-lethal violence and other criminal activity, and [domestic violent extremist] reactions to socio-political events and conditions could increase attacks.”
The report details the factors that will continue to inspire domestic terrorism plots, including gamification and accelerationism. Gamification occurs when attacks are likened to playing video games, where fatality counts are equated to scores and perpetrators attempt to achieve a high kill count. Racially motivated extremists, in particular, use this language on online forums and in chat applications to encourage attacks with higher fatality rates. Themes of accelerationism—a belief among some neo-Nazis and other racially motivated extremists that violence is needed to bring about societal collapse and start a civil war—are also found on these platforms. These topics have been long discussed among researchers, but it is heartening to see them make it into a U.S. government report.
"Themes of accelerationism—a belief among some neo-Nazis and other racially motivated extremists that violence "
Thats not what accelerationism.
Accelerationism isn't about violence at all.
It's about making things worse in general, in the belief that the longer the system goes on the more likely the damage it has done to civilization and demographics, the more likely it will become permanent and harder to reverse.
Hence the belief is that whatever moves society closer to collapse, to chaos, the more likely it is to collpse of its own momentum, saving whats left of civilization.
Accelerationism doesn't at least often include violence? Wut?
Pretty much all the white nationalist groups I can think of that embrace accelerationism envision collapse of society involving violence to set up an ethnostate somewhere in the US. The Base, Atomwaffen/NSO being a couple of the best known. You even acknowledge "chaos". That strongly implies at least some violence itself.
I mean, this is basic bitch stuff even for accelerationist ideology. Saying accelerationism is not violent is sort of like saying Marxism is not Communist.
"Accelerationism doesn't at least often include violence?"
I don't know what accelerationism you're referring to, but no.
You should be encouraging open borders, communism and anti-white hatred as much as you can though. Anything that riles up the left. Anything that emboldens them. Anything that makes them hard to control by their masters in dc. Amplify their messages until industrial society straight up breaks down into spasms and paroxysms of division and dysfunction. Until nobody and I mean nobody listens to the federal or state governments any more. The goal is to take the state's measured careful slow-walk of genocide and ramp it up to the point they cant control the message or backlash any more.
Thats literally the only chance europeans have of escaping our genocide. A mass shock to the system, where no one can ignore that we are NOT all the same race, and where the day to day lives are so terrible, so unstable and dangerous from the breakdown of society, that like eastern europeans, the white family is forced by sheer necessity to work together like they did seventy+ years ago.
Till weakness and idealism in every day life mean death.
To the stars, through difficulty.
"etty much all the white nationalist groups I can think of that embrace accelerationism envision collapse of society involving violence"
The base and atomwaffen are mossad nothing-ops who wont stretch out their own necks to meaningfully do anything so they've devolved into mere paycheck justification operations.
The truth is this: No one in any meaningful, useable capacity, wants to join those fags. Not enough manpower. Wrong message.
Accelerationism, like any general chaos, leads to all sorts of things. That doesn't mean it promotes violence.
The same way someone calling for a protest understands that it may lead toothers committing crimes. One is not promoting it, only recognizing it may be a consequence.
Higher gas prices or shut down stores may be consequences of accelerationism too, so what?
Do we focus on ever negative consequence of ever single strategy and say "this, this is what this strategy is actually about."
No.
Because broken eggs -> omelets.
For example if I go hang signs that say "whites/jews/asians/hispanics are to blame for corona!" woudl that be promoting violence?
No. Thats not the intent. Do we acknowledge someone might take it the wrong way and commit crimes because of it? Yes.
But thats free speech for you.
All freedom has costs and consequences.
What others do in response to what you do, has nothing to do with you. Otherwise free speech wouldn't mean much would it?
I'm not sure how right they are - but you're definitely wrong. Their assessment of lone wolf attackers with firearms is something that is very doable. And a wave of such attacks would send shockwaves through the system.
Seems to matter little though. You're stuck in the past. This isn't WW2. Might be WW3 though. Did you even read what I posted in this thread? I know people here are memefags and not big readers - but I posted the most relevant portion of the article in this thread.
