I remember being in an audience and booing a question-asker who asked a speaker a challenging and controversial question.

I thought about why I was even booing in hind sight and wondered why I did that shameful thing.

Reason was this: Anything that upsets the herd is uncomfortable. Being in the herd, you naturally want to stop the source of uncomfort. Its like watching a comedian bomb. So the first reaction is to appeal to arrogance. I immediately thought I was so much better than the question-asker. Second is to appeal to anger and violence. If ridicule doesn't work then shouting him out and removing him will.

It may not seem it but this guy got through to the audience. (Maybe not then but definitely after.)

Pathetic sheep in the audience.

That was Bill Clinton on stage. Not Bill Gates.

"listen to all the pedophile supporters in here".
