I figured out the easiest way to hurt big tech companies is for public to have coordinated fasting from all social media. Can you turn off for a week? Just turn it off and starve the beast.

The point is mass public unplugging from all electronics at random times and for indeterminate intervals. This would crass the tech monopolies business models.

It's more of a forum. Social media uses algorithms and data analytics to maximize user engagement to sell more ad space. And to promote establishment agendas to gullible hive mind NPCs

the dopamine hits keep them hooked, but i don't think that really gets to "value" but rather need/impulse. you are definitely right that this is the key thing that keeps people from just leaving social media altogether.

It's an intermittant fast. There would need to be temporary communication nodes planned for. Meanwhile, the tech companies would need to justify their existance, since they would be fundementally incapable of tracking the movements and behaviors of hundreds of millions of people randomly unplugging.
