I worked on a few luxury sport fishers. It takes 40k just to fill the tank, another 200k to crew it for a year, and fucking who knows how much for membership at the various marinas, dry docking, and provisioning that constantly needs done. Trust me when I tell you, winning the lottery isn't enough.
I know someone who skippers one of those 150' luxury yachts, the type that hosts wedding receptions etc. He told me last summer they had to have her hauled out and painted at a cost of 750k.
