Police departments with enough funds to hire two officers per squad car have less corruption. They also have quicker response times, meaning better protection of life in an emergency. Remember the old axiom "when seconds count, the police are minutes away?" Leftists would rather they be hours away, or not even respond to the call at all, like what happens in Detroit.

What's more, it still leaves the matter of where the cops are supposed to get their funds. They are going to get that money from taxpayers somehow. It's literally a case of by hook or by crook. Departments that need funding are beyond annoying, because these are the ones you can't drive through without being cited for imaginary traffic violations. Leftist idiots want to create the scenario of corrupt small town lawmen citing out-of-towners for fake speeding tickets, but on a national scale. I call that "getting Roscoed" because Roscoe P Coltrane used to do it on Dukes of Hazzard.
