My town is full of homeless people. They're literally bussed in because this place is so homeless friendly. The local government allows them to set up tent cities, there's a hot meal three times a day, for free, for whomever asks for one. Fuck the homeless, they're trash and should be treated as such. Every intersection has a begger with a sign and a hand out. You know why? Because people give them money. They choose to live off of other people's misplaced generosity, because they know that they can. Fuck the homeless.
Used to be called hoboes, tramps and bums....and way back when, anti-vagrancy and loitering laws kept them in check, but them laws are gone. Now they can live rent-free by pitching a tent on any sidewalk, or turn any public park into a free campgrounds.
Yep, the current excuse is that it's freedom of speech for them to dangerously wade through traffic asking for money. Meanwhile, I feel like I'm being mocked.
