Out of habit when I make eye contact with someone I give a nod for men and a little smile for women..

Or sometimes I'll just say hi. Increasingly people will just completely ignore me and not returned the gesture. I always comment when someone does that because its irritating. Common courtesy is important in society. I'm trying to make a conscious effort not to even do this to black people because they literally ignore me 100% of the time. It's just motor reflex though.

Try doing it to blacks and some will get very hostile simply because you looked at them. Yes that is a thing.

I do the same thing. I live in the country though, so everyone always says hi back.

Went to a larger city recently and passed by some black girls on a walking path at the park and they glared at me when I said hello. Surprise surprise

I usually do this for White people. And it's by a far majority, a similar response.

The 50+ White guys talk to me as well. Holy shit, they love to talk.

Niggers, spics, slants don't get any of my attention. But I look at them, in the way that says: "I see you. I'm aware".
