It's not like you're going to see flocks of wild chickens if we stopped confining them to farms. Maybe a few in zoos, but the species would effectively go extinct if we didn't raise them for food. They are some of the dumbest creatures on this earth. Their is no way they'd survive in the wild. In a way, farming domesticated animals is saving them from going extinct, and by their own rules, is the most humane thing to do.

I will say that hogs certainly have no trouble surviving when they escape the farm. Fucking things are a menace, and there's nothing to do but just shoot them.
