The domain this user is posting, https://www.voat.xyz/v/site?domain=www.interestingnews.club, was banned recently, possible issue with the ban_url tool, will test (edit: tested; there is an issue and system has been advised).

The user reported, https://www.voat.xyz/profile.php?user=Maria1738, has also seen fit to make comment-links with this domain, of which I have no doubt she is aware that the domain was supposed to be banned.

I'm not sure who to speak to about feedback / site suggestions, but what do you think about country flags for the geolocation a comment was submitted from (not tied to the account - literally the IP addy where the comment came from). I suggested it to system twice but no go. This was great on the chans for outing jews, as eventually VPNS will go down, etc.

Also, I even pulled down the bahind-the-scenes bits from 4chan if it helps move things along faster. Basically, they use one huge image with every flag on it, and only show a subsection based on a country code: https://files.catbox.moe/mots3b.png

System makes those calls for what's on the site. I see you made your suggestion to him in comments so it's possible it got missed; better to make a post in v/Voatdev where he'll see it for sure. No guarantees it will happen but you get it in front of him :)

Bad idea because many people use proxies such as TOR or a VPN. Besides, because people are pseudonymous, country flags are more doxxy than on a chan site.

Went there to check it out. It's one of those sites that recycles "cute" news from other places trying to make money off of the OC of others. Serious spam from start to finish.
