Yes, it is important to be correct on these things. Throwing a single false item into a list of 100 is a 1% rate, but can be pointed to as being obviously false, which places the other 99% of the true items in a poor light.

So, yes, it's fucking important. Why create an iron clad argument, forget to include a codpiece, and then invite every to kick you in the balls? Why would (((you))) want to include false information knowingly and wittingly on every slave trade argument?


The slave trade was hard, dirty, dangerous work. Name one time a jew has ever done hard, dirty, dangerous work. jews don't like to lose money, so they worked the sale side of things, they did the insurance on the cargo. They supplied the money for the cargo, they paid themsleves the insurance, they took their cut at the sales.

What sounds more jewish? Funding cargoes AND insuring them at the same time AND taking a cut of sales, or Operating a ship across the ocean 2x, manhandling, feeding, cleaning Negroes, chaining them, etc.?

This is a weird snippet. It claims to be from Elizabeth Donnan's Documents Illustrative of the Slave Trade to America, but it is an exact match to this article page on a genealogical website (https://www.geni.com/projects/Ships-and-Owners/6865) The volume it claims this came from lists the number of negroes imported, and 1000's of ships and their cargo of Negroes is recorded in both New York and Philadelphia available online here - Volume III has excellent compilation of documents related to the British colonies in what we now call the United States. Looking through that list, I was curious - some of the names are very famous people.

The Levy family of Philadelphia (Moses, and his sons, Isaac, Samson, and Benjamin) were prominent Jewish shippers. They are listed as partial ship owners more than 100 times in the listings I saw from 1701-1728 when Moses died. Usually, they were partners in this, as like today's derivatives, you wanted to share the risk, so you bought a quarter percentage of a ship, thereby having 4 separate chances of successful voyages, rather than throwing all your eggs in one basket. Definitely legitimate shippers, and definitely were involved in the slave trade as partners of ships that had cargoes that included Negroes.

However, James de Woolf was NOT a fucking Jew, he was Episcopalian! He was easily one of the most prolfiic slave traders- estimates over 11,000 slaves brought from Africa to the Americas. He owned sugar plantations and rum distilleries in the Caribbean and used slaves to process the cane.

Unfortunately, this list is NOT from Ms. Donnan's book, but from stupid genealogical website. To say that James De Woolf was a Jew is simply laughable. It even lists the Polly as his ship - when this is the ship that proves that it is THE James de Woolf of Bristol, super rich, brought up for murder charges for having a smallpox infested woman killed during a passage across the Atlantic to save the entire cargo of Negroes form being killed.

That is not to say that Jews were not involved in the slave trade directly, either, from Ms. Donnan's book, Volume II: IN a letter from John Merewether to Peter Burrell, postmarked Jamaica, September 6th, 1736, he writes:

Sir, I had the honour to write to you on the 23rd of July. Since then Mr. Davison has cleared up the mistake of his and Mr. Humphreys giving a different account of the Negroes delivered them by Capt. Pitts, and Mr. Davison and I are in perfect understanding; the last two Cargoes of Negroes sailed clear this morning, And we have now a prospect between this and Christmas of being very well supplied with Negroes which we have advised the factors on the other side.

A brigatine arrioved last Friday called the Post Boy of Bristol with 350 Negroes.These are proper for the Havanas and Cuba. As we want Girls, we will take those who are not too much on the yellow cast, to which these Country slaves are subject. [He goes on to describe more of the trading of salves - it os obvious he is a slave trader/broker in Jamaica, taking slaves, and then sending them off to the sugar islands or the Continent, of which I assume he means North America. If you are unaware of the term SupraCargo - this is a variation of the term we use now "Supercargo" - this is the officer in charge of all commerical dealings - the taking on and selling of the property of the ship. Their role is to buy and sell, at a profit, and generally take care of what cargo will bring the most price, see that is is stored properly and determine what is to be sold and taken on at each port.

This letter indicates that Jews were definitely part of the Slave trade in Jamaica, and that the Jew in question was one of the "Top Supra Cargoes" a very good one, at that. Interesting.
