That article says it's gross to use isinglass, but I don't see the issue. It's not that uncommon for a person to eat that while camping. Fish bladders are edible.

Magical creatures that turn grass into beef.

Milk stout, with its lactic acid, would beg to differ.

No. Yeast is a fungus, not a plant.

there is no or trace amounts of yeast left in a brew when you are finished making it, Once fermentation stops and yeast dies off it settles to the bottom so its not yeast based, The base for brewing is malted barley.

Edit; one of the steps in the process involves separating the beer/wine and leaving the lees which is the left dead yeast, If you do not remove it the yeast will give the product a musky yeasty taste.

And it's not really dead. It flocculates to the bottom and can be collected and used to ferment the next batch.

Probably one of those words I picked up from back when I was a teenager obsessed with learning all the words.
But also from that time I brewed all sorts of things, back before I had an alcoholic wife. And also partly during, but I'd never get to have anything I brewed; heck, it would not even survive log enough to make it out of the secondary fermenter before it was suddenly just gone somehow.

I made mead, aged it for over a year in the tertiary fermenter, for maximum clarity. Also, I was paranoid about exploding bottles, since I'd never made mead before, and it seemed to take AGES to ferment all the way. It was EXCELLENT!

And I made all sorts of different types of beer. Then, suddenly, I made a bunch of creative batches that I never got to have any of so I just quit.

Bacteria, not really fungus, exactly. But sort of...
