Behold!! I have already invented such a device... I call it, The Garden.

Money please!

Fucking madman. Combine that with algae and trees and we might just be on to something.

[ - ] i_scream_trucks 2 points 3 yearsApr 23, 2021 08:38:20 ago (+2/-0)

FUCKING ANTI SEMITE RIGHT WING ROUND EARTH CONSPIRACY THEORIST!

[ - ] Teefinyomouf 0 points 3 yearsApr 23, 2021 14:50:48 ago (+0/-0)

No no. That will never work. The goal is to reduce the population and your method produces food.

[ - ] YamaMaya 7 points 3 yearsApr 23, 2021 05:28:17 ago (+7/-0)

We actually need CO2 in order for plants to function. If all vegetation on earth dies, so will we because they produce oxygen...

Underrated comment.

That's exactly what it is for. Brilliant deduction, goat.

Plant a garden

[ - ] paul_neri [op] 1 point 3 yearsApr 23, 2021 05:17:54 ago (+1/-0)

that's what I thought too albeit "trees" but then that wouldn't be an invention.

But, if we scrub all the CO2 from the air won't all the plants die?

[ - ] paul_neri [op] 0 points 3 yearsApr 23, 2021 05:31:13 ago (+0/-0)

Yes. How will we know how much to leave for plants? Don't worry, Elon's got it figured out (I hope).

[ - ] taoV 1 point 3 yearsApr 23, 2021 06:33:06 ago (+1/-0)

Everyone and their cows will just hyperventilate for an hour a day if it gets too low. Easy peasy.

[ - ] paul_neri [op] 0 points 3 yearsApr 23, 2021 06:35:48 ago (+0/-0)

Phew that's a relief to know. Are you sure you can train cows to hyperventilate and then for only an hour?

[ - ] taoV 1 point 3 yearsApr 23, 2021 07:46:33 ago (+1/-0)

If you're using Smart Cows you just set a timer on the app.

[ - ] i_scream_trucks 0 points 3 yearsApr 23, 2021 08:40:18 ago (+0/-0)

well unless we wipe out cows and their farting apparently we will be fine.

[ - ] bob3 0 points 3 yearsApr 23, 2021 08:38:46 ago (+0/-0)

170ppm is death of most of our food plants. others can survive lower, but not much. 400ppm is pretty comfy

[ - ] aleleopathic 0 points 3 yearsApr 23, 2021 10:06:41 ago (+0/-0)

won't all the plants die?

And us with them. Our entire society is based on reasonably decent CO2 levels, which need to increase more (during the 'summer of life', CO2 made up nearly 10% of the atmosphere, yet there still were ice ages then).

[ - ] paul_neri [op] 1 point 3 yearsApr 23, 2021 05:19:03 ago (+1/-0)

what will you do with your prize?

[ - ] i_scream_trucks 0 points 3 yearsApr 23, 2021 08:39:35 ago (+0/-0)

when the co2 removal actually works and we all die from asphyxiation because all the trees are dead so no O2.

[ - ] ymihere 0 points 3 yearsApr 24, 2021 12:51:32 ago (+0/-0)

Plant fucking trees and shit y’all..geez, even iz figor dat one out..yo

Remove two thirds of the world population. Do I get the prize?

[ - ] Artificial_Intelligentile 1 point 3 yearsApr 23, 2021 05:15:53 ago (+1/-0)*

what we need is a nanosurface to which CO2 binds. the structure is so that the molecules are arranged in such a way, that when two such surfaces are brought extremely close together, the carbon atoms are forced into such close proximity that Carbon fibre sheets are created, releasing the oxygen and freeing the surface for renewed collection of co2. i would recommand a rotating system, so co2 is highly concentrated on one side of the slit, and on the other side of the slit between the rotating cylinders a carbon fibresheet and oxygen are produced. basically atomic-scale 3d printing.

Does that make sense?

the most dire negative effect that co2 has on nature is the fact that it is changing the acidity of the oceans. if acidity changes too much phytoplankton will start dying, which further acidifies the ocean. it may happen that phytoplankton adapts to rising acidity, but we dont know that yet. your solution of throwing carbon-enriched limestone into fault lines which mostly occur under the sea would actually accelerate the most problematic part of the co2 cycle.........

but if we kill all the jews and bury them, the planet will be saved!

[ - ] bob3 0 points 3 yearsApr 23, 2021 08:41:16 ago (+0/-0)

its amazing how many people can repeat utter nonsense that some authoritay taught them, without ever stopping to make sure it makes sense.

imagine if life on earth was actually fragile. The great oxidation events would be happening every tuesday

[ - ] Artificial_Intelligentile 0 points 3 yearsApr 23, 2021 10:15:43 ago (+0/-0)

theres people out there who really think every topic is either black or white. reality is a bit more complicated buddy.

i still think it would be awesome to have a machine that can make a bulletproof vest the weight of a t-shirt from thin air, crackhead wanker conspiracy nut.

data is being blown out of proportion, that doesnt change the basic facts. i can distinguish between the two.

Scheiß ungebildete Ami Schwuchtel.

[ - ] paul_neri [op] 0 points 3 yearsApr 23, 2021 05:16:47 ago (+0/-0)

far out, bro, you win!

[ - ] Artificial_Intelligentile 1 point 3 yearsApr 23, 2021 05:23:01 ago (+1/-0)

imagine having such a machine on venus, printing cloud cities until its inhabitable =)

I won the jackpot. Sent him a pine cone.

[ - ] moissie 0 points 3 yearsApr 23, 2021 09:43:11 ago (+0/-0)

I mean, the planet needs CO2. I don't get his rush to get "rid of it". Do they want to kill the planet?

[ - ] ModernGuilt 0 points 3 yearsApr 23, 2021 09:28:05 ago (+0/-0)*

Every year or so a local african rocket surgeon invents a contraption that can pull clean drinking water straight out of the air. Non retards from a 1st world nation call this a dehumidifier.
I would imagine that's how this co2 'problem' will go

[ - ] WoodenDoors 0 points 3 yearsApr 23, 2021 08:49:37 ago (+0/-0)

Solving this problem will just cause more problems. Remove two thirds of the world population would be a start and stoping countries devloping will help.

[ - ] BadBoyBubby 0 points 3 yearsApr 23, 2021 08:49:18 ago (+0/-0)

heavy population control of niggers, indians, chinks and other shitskins

plant more trees?

but why, do they want us all to die?
