I hate this place so Goddamn much. You anti-White cunts. We BUILT your fucking company, and now I can't get a promotion even though I'm superior to you (true White Supremacy), and Whites are blocked from applying for jobs (unless you're a woman or "identify" as one).

While I can officially "retire" (I have enough time vested to get a pension plus free healthcare for life), if I wait 5 years, I can get about 200% more in the pension. It'll be about $1.25M v. $450k if I go now.

And while I've thought about "the right and moral thing to do" which would be to tell these racist pieces of shit off...fuckit. I'll take MY money. I'll keep my head down, get my final check, and then will go to the mattresses. I'll stay away from the bullshit as best I can.

EDIT: My math sucked, I took 60% of 1.25...it's really triple (a 200% increase) what I currently have now.

Good call thinking your best options and not walking out in anger. Show up every morning as usual, but start a second business/job. Something you can still do the min amount of work for them as well in between doing what you want. Maybe a blog, selling frisbes online, writing some fiction, learning to code or do electronics or some such. Use your personal laptop and stay off the companies wifi. You'll be amazed as how stoked you'll be. I did this for a while. Then one day I saw the business owner severely mistreat a co-worker. I burned about it, then I set up my own business and without the co-worker there at my old workplace (he'd been fired) captured that business.

I literally put that prick out of business and it went into my bank account instead of his. It's so gratifying.

Yes, have been here 20 years. I wasn't bullshitting about the "building the company". I was going to last until I am 65, but now there's no fucking way.

I have a bunch of dough in the 403b, and with the pension, things will be good. I don't have to pull from SS for a bit.

And it's verrrrrrrry hard not to say something, gratefully I have places like this to vent a bit.

I just got my 1% annual raise, and they laid off another department I'm supposed to singlehandedly take over all the duties and responsibilities... again.

For some reason ALL requests are taking much longer than they used to, and I'm not even going to try to improve that. Also, I am making sure to allocate mostly the costliest infrastructure options now, since I'm firmly in charge of that. So fine, don't pay me... but you will pay.

A 1% raise with, let's say 3% inflation, means they cut your pay by 2%. And inflation is much higher than 3%.

Many reasons. The main one I think is the lack of depending on the system. When the lights go out in USA, it will be absolute hell on earth. When the lights go out here, tomorrow just like every other week or couple of days, life will continue. There's no consolidated food supply lines here. there's small independent farms all over this country. Logistically, USA has many week knees.
