I'm graduating in a few weeks, and I'm beginning to wonder what the fuck was the point of all this. I spent 5 years of my life doing nothing, learning nothing more than what I can find from 15 minutes of research, to qualify for jobs that don't pay as well as a trade. I wasted all this time when I could have a six figure job, a house, and a wife and kids at this point instead of initially joining the workforce at 23. College is fucking retarded.
It used to have a monopoly on cutting edge knowledge, but the Internet made it obsolete. You're supposed to learn by yourself in college, but at that point... you can just use the Internet to learn by yourself for free.
But they got this scam going on where the college prints a piece of paper at the end and this piece of paper supposedly opens up better paying jobs. I wonder how long it takes for everyone to notice that the king doesn't wear any clothes, so to speak.

Ten years ago, depending on industry. It's the primary reason various jews have been heavily promoting software that reads resumes - disregarding data mining, it makes it harder to notice the outliers that successfully swam against the current.
Even with that, most industries are smaller than they appear, and making a few good buddies can make you a shoo-in for a job that you aren't competitive for on paper.
Yup, you fucked yp. The only way to rectify the giant error is to start networking immediately. Send your resume to a hundred places with decent jobs and call them. In a year, if you don’t use it, your degree is total shit.
I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. I really didn't learn anything while in class (okay not exactly true, I learned how to tune out indoctrination BS).I tried to talk to guys there hoping I could find a man, but most of them were crazy liberals and I just stopped talking to everyone completely. I feel like I just wasted years of my life when I could've gotten married and had a baby. But I'm happy enough to get out of this with having my hair dyed green or being in debt (I want to a cheap school and stayed at home). But I do think that you're a little over your head that you can make 6 figures at 23 though.
That's what I thought, but I have friends who are welders, sheet metal workers, high-line workers, and railroad managers that all make well over six figs at the same age I am
College is a racket. The books are a racket. They move the chapters around and you're forced to buy new that is very expensive. All the books they use are garbage. You end up teaching yourself from youtube. All the foreign teachers, you can't understand what they say. They are worthless. Tuition and student loan interest rates are robbery. It's big business to rob American youth.
Unless the book had an online code, I never bought the books. I just usually pirated them. I really did hate the foreign teachers though. I remember that one pronounced factor as "fuck her"
Woodie Guthrie was a raging commie but he had one thing right. Every thing you learn in college you could learn at the local library for a late fee. Now if you are really getting into engineering or lab sciences etc, there’s not really a lot of places to get hands on that neophytes have access too. Social sciences and liberal arts are completely worthless.
I agree with you but it also does open more doors to you then before just because you got a piece of paper.
5 years? Should have been 4...
What makes you think you would have a 6 figure job? At $40 an hr as a solar specialist I'm still shy of that mark with a University degree and electrical and plumbing experience. What do you bring to the table that would make a 23 year old 100+k a year?
