Hey - I couldn't respond to the post I wanted to respond to (the guy posting from israel - no reply box appeared), so I'll just respond to this one.

I think one of the best things that could help site integrity is if every comment's post had a country flag next to the name, showing the country it was posted from (a la the chans). It would be important that the flag not be tied to the account - just the comment. People slip up / VPNs go down, etc.

I'm only leaving this comment as it appears you are actually active, and active admins are a rare beast. Cheers.

It's not a perfect system, I'm not sure a perfect system exists.. yet. I am fully aware of the faults of voat.co's system. It is worth noting that even without it, users will make numerous alts to aid in the subversion of the site. When you are able to kill an account through downvoating though, you can identify new alts based on when they were created relative to when a user's previous account went negative. It also stimulates frustration in the user making the subversive alts, which theoretically could demoralize them... or it could futher motivate them.. it can work both ways. Like I said, it's not a perfect system. I'd love to see a superior approach. The systems implemented on poal and ruqqus are very clearly not better than voat.co's, so, we can at least rule them out.

I can't speak for "the people", so, by all means, conduct a poll, and/or make a thread to discuss how to deal with shill accounts/users. When you do, pay close attention to who pushes back against the idea of restricting someone's ability to post based on low/neg CCP. I'm not suggesting you look at who is downvoating the post, just who raises a stink in the comments. "The lady doth protest too much, me thinks."
