Always make sure you bring a bar or board of some kind so you can barricade the door after you leave. A contained fire is a much safer fire.

Even when it's not on fire, it's not illegal at all. The only charge you might get is disorderly conduct / disturbing the peace, and that's hard to make stick.

Most people would just look at you and tell you to sit down and shut up.

Now, if you yelled "Allah Ackbar", that might be different.

If the theater is on fire and you're in the theater you should never ever for a second give a flaming fuck about laws, but instead save yourself and your loved ones and warn the rest.
