How do you know if it was just the angle of the camera that made it look that way?

Because I can see that his knee is several inches passed the edge of his shoulder blade...and closer to his head. I get the whole camera angle distortion thing, but at certain points it was obvious. Now whether it was just for a split second because he lost his footing, idk...but I know where the neck ends and the back starts.
