If you have a mortgage, pay it off. If you don't...spoil yourself with garden tools such as a pole-pruner (small chainsaw). But there'll be lots left over so give it to your missus and it will all be gone in at the next shopping trip.

10k won't pay off a mortgage. You're better off using that 10k as a down payment on a shitty rental income property. You can turn the 10k into monthly cash flow.

I put the down payment for my daughter to buy a home so that they could stop renting when they first started out and she can have the kids be in a better school district.

She thinks it was a loan that she has to pay me back when she sells, but she won't have to. She doesn't know that.

i would buy (amongst other things) an electric motorcycle. sounds stupid yes, but its great fun to go cruising for 50cent per 100 miles... the money i save on my way to work alone pays it off in two years, after that its still good for several more years. Just a toy, but hey, happiness is best in life.

if it werent just 10 but 30.000 it would be enough as a down payment for my own farm, that would be best.

Don't buy crypto right now. Bitcoin is slowly climbing, and now is a bad time to invest; wait for the next down cycle, it should happen faster than the last one thanks to corona stupidity. There's a lot of different things that you can do, but I suggest that you invest in yourself, first. Take a few weeks and read some good books; I'd suggest Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad Poor Dad, G. Edward Griffin's The Creature from Jekyll Island, and your choice from either Napoleon Hill or Eckhart Tolle. When you feel like you're ready, look for the site called "the Hidden Wiki" in Tor. There's a list of financial services that you can get better acquainted with, and then you can slowly build wealth and monthly income from doing something online of your choice. Take caution and keep your wealth hidden; don't report anything to anybody. Once you start advancing heavily, find better ways to secure your online presence and then keep your head on a swivel and your mouth shut. I've watched so many people make so much money by keeping an open mind and a closed mouth.
