Your current rules are limited and with no official Terms of Service:

For your own legal protection, I strongly suggest you make a Terms of Service at least limiting your liability as the owner of the site. Because right now I believe you're technically open to potential lawsuits and damages by not having an official Terms of Service.

I'm mostly advising you to get a Terms of Service because the current state of the site reeks of a glowie honeypot, but now that I'm effectively stuck here after being kicked off Poal, I'll to have make do here.

i don't like terms of service, it's redundant for sites like this

simply having a "kike pedophiles or glowniggers will be terminated at will" common sense rule will suffice

I wish it were that simple. But sadly, we live in a world of kike lawyers and blood suckers that will pick every word clean from a Terms of Service if it means they can get money out of it. Having a Terms of Service is a necessary protection from potential, expensive litigation.

Often times, a Terms of Service limits liability from the owner and administrators of a site. By not having a Terms of Service, an owner of a site opens themselves up to legal damages, lawsuits, and liability. It also means there's no official agreement between the users and owner of the site as far as the use of the service, besides the rules. Generally, a Terms of Service acts as the rules of the service while also usually limiting liability of the owner for users' actions and content.

HOw does showing me other TOS things support anything you're saying?

It's just some examples of how Terms of Service agreements can be used to mitigate potential liability brought on by users or administrator actions, by explicitly stating things like, "We are not responsible for User-generated content" or "You agree to not hold us liable for administrative actions".

Why can I walk drunk across a tile floor full of piss puddles and relieve myself into a urinal without signing or reading a TOS? No "If I slip and fall it's my fault. I agree to flush. I agree to wash my hands. Etc." Yet to read nearly any text on the Internet I must also have some bullshit TOS presented to me.

Yes, I heard about Tokui. I didn't have him in mind when writing this advice, I was planning on posting this for some time. Now just seemed like an appropriate time to post this since I plan on being here permanently. I agree with the ban of Tokui, and pedophilia is illegal regardless.

Also you are not a lawyer, you have no idea what if any protection that bit gives or does not give. Name one instance where a site owner got fucked for not having a TOS. I’ll wait.
