Plenty of guns have polymer frames/receivers. Like, ya know, almost every modern semi-auto handgun on the market, for example.

3d printed material is nothing like oem polymer parts, it doesnt have the strength or ductility. Not saying its totally unusable just not comparable and as a gunsmith not something i would use.
