If God's plan doesn't make sense think about it. Ask a priest, but if he doesn't have the answers don't give up. Ask another one. Read the bible - the whole entire thing. Read the Torah and the Talmud. Read the Quran. Read the Sutras.

Find God.

Because otherwise you'll just die, and what a waste that will have been.
