I wonder why Sony hated the Vita with such a passion that they did everything in their might to make it fail.

Sony never really gave a fuck about the vita to begin with, so them putting in only the bare minimum effort to notify the few people still developing for it is completely unsurprising.

The golden age already came and went, the bullshit has been steadily increasing for over a decade and none of it has backed off. Homebrew/emulation on your own hardware is the only thing left that wont be complete cancer.
