I think he was TOTALLY unprepared for Voat, assuming it was just Conservative Reddit. And I think he also realized it would (and this is true for anyone) provide his critics a cudgel to completely destroy him. He did accept sbbh mod, so maybe that’s why I’m defending him. Lol.
