This mushroom weighs about 5lbs with only 2lbs of edible meat, the rest is great for soup stock. Cut the mushroom into ribbons with scissors, if it's to hard to cut leave it for stock.

mushroom taste & steak texture, each mushroom has about 2lbs of good meat on it. I got dozens last year and didn't shit once the month of june. Plants grow up through it too, which is weird. I'm not sure which comes first the mushroom or the plant
