Worst job I ever had

UPS warehouse. Christmas help. Loading trucks overnight from a nightmarish never ending conveyor belt of boxes. I loaded a semi trailer and a large box truck by myself in an 8 hour shift.

You have to manhandle packages to read the address and determine if its on your route.There was a Sports Authority and a transmission shop on the semi trailer route.

I look up and theres 6 heavy punching bags that have to be lifted and thrown 12 feet into the semi. Theyre 90 lbs w/ packaging each and theyre all back to back so you cant let one slip past.

The transmission shop would get boxes that were less than a foot square but that weighed 80 lbs. You go to grab a box and its solid metal.

The real kick in the balls was they hired a dyke at the same time they hired me and shims job was to walk around with a clipboard making check marks on a piece of paper.

I'd be breaking my back and look up and Daisy Dyke would be watching me and make a mark on her clipboard! I shouted at her " you think you could do this?". shit head scampered away.

Worst job I ever had. I tell people about it then say " I escaped from hell".

Hey I remember this one from voat, made me rethink getting a UPS job.

Worst job I had was working security at a family dollar in a nigger neighborhood.. never again!

I mean, not every minute of every day, but yeah, overall they were enjoyable.

I guess maybe the job wasn't always great, but I always had cool people to hang out with and so that made it OK/enjoyable.

I applied at UPS once and they had us sit in a room with 20 or so applicants and a guy held a speech that basically warned us that it's a very demanding job, that you probably won't be able to work 2 jobs while you work there because it'll drain you and that you need to watch your sleep schedule so you're not too tired when your shift starts. Of course that set off multiple red flags in my head.

I did similar for FedEx once for a short period. It was as you describe. I think the convenience store was worse though, a different kind of worse but worse. Roto-Rooter sucked too.

Being a mover is pretty awful. Especially in the hot summer time.
