Account options are not being saved

Every time I log in, I have to go to Account Options and enable the "Open external links in a new tab" option.

This is strange. I don't see any issues in the code and it works when I test it in chrome and firefox. Anyone else have this problem?

I'm using Waterfox if that makes a difference. It should be the same as Firefox -it's the same base code, but may have diverged somewhat as it's been out a while.

To be fair, it works fine on mobile, just not on desktop.
