This place is a cesspit. But your answer to addressing the problem seems to be: take your business elsewhere. That needn't be the case. This place doesn't need to be a cesspit. Nor, imo, should people be expected to use even more of their valuable time to bully posters like dangus. A site that values the twin pillars of cerebral hygiene and civility probably won't even have guys like dangus.

This isn't even a commentary on dangus. But whether you think it is optimum to see time wasted on a glow ridden free-for-all. There is a better way. Certainly in principle.

For my own personal use little of this is really even necessary. Obviously through all of this I'm still here and the way I see it my image is bettered by the blatant stupidity of my loudest critics. But if you want a more usable platform you don't hang up a neon sign - certainly in this political climate - that says effectively y'all c'mon in and disrupt all you want.

I'll add this about forum owners by the way, having been there. Some of them are not serious people in the first place or get their jollies indulging a flame fest. Pretty soon too they just burn out and start not giving a fuck. I see little reason to think otherwise with the additional experience of this place.
