Oh agent Neri, what have you done!? πŸ˜‚ By mentioning snails in a bottle you've inadvertantly upset the very social order of "voat" to which I'll reference shortly. Isn't it curious you'd mention a case I haven't heard of in years but because of the general degradation of society, in my opinion, and my presumption that I'll not be affecting that society much longer, I've actually been thinking of a great deal lately. Snails in a bottle focused on a very narrow point of law but the legal theories that brought us to the ultimate judgement are some of the widest and least narrow in tort law, which I did very little of in my career but have always been fascinated by because of the affect of those laws on every member of society whereas criminal law tends to focus again more narrowly on an individual or small group of defendants and even though the ultimate judgement in criminal law may have the effect of affecting many more citizens in their overall rights, very few citizens are actually affected, and for me this is where it gets interesting, BECAUSE of one of the main legal theories used to decide snails in a bottle, that being the theory of our duty to neighbors. And THIS is where I think YOU will find it interesting. While we disagree on a great many things, I think we can agree that for a society to be able to function at it's most basic level, YOU MUST have a working "theory of neighbors" because without it, and has often been said of law enforcement, "without it, anarchy would ensue". And if you've followed the news in recent times, and I know you have, and you've seen one segment of society who over and over shows themselves to have little understanding or care of society as a whole or what it takes to maintain a working, civilized society and expresses this by their frequent looting and destruction of the very things that society has decided MAKE us a civilized society, and, (it's difficult to keep a train of thought on a two inch screen as well as having a phone that wants to change my words🀣) that this one segment of society and I of course mean blacks, may very well be the end of civilized society as we know it. Blacks seem to be missing one of the very requirements of a civilized society and that being the theory of neighbors. If we don't have a duty to our neighbors to not hurt them in our day to day interactions with them then we may as well pick up our clubs, start hitting women over the head and dragging them back to our caves! Imo, we cannot have a functioning society without a duty to our neighbors, something blacks seem interestingly devoid of. Forgive me if I've gone off topic but again it's difficult to stay on topic when you can only see the last inch of your argument. πŸ˜‚. Soooo, back to the social order of voat, to which you've completely upset now! I've been perfectly happy referring to you as "agent" Neri for my own reasons for a good long time now and while I've always found you somewhat interesting in your posts, even though I've rarely agreed with you on some things, but as previously mentioned your perseverance here has been rather impressive, I now find myself in a quandary which I'm sure you could probably care less about! 🀣 My favorite uncle was an FBI agent under Hoover. Back then in order to qualify for the bureau, you must've passed law school. So this brings me to my current quandary. I find it interesting that a mild mannered Aussie would know about snails in a bottle and that makes me wonder again about your education BEFORE JOINING THE BUREAU AGENT NERI! But my pending health issues and that I've come to enjoy our interactions have made my suspicions of your employment with the federal govt moot. Narcissistic concerns on my part admittedly but no longer a concern. Anyways, I can no longer call you agent Neri in good conscience. In good English tradition I will now refer to you (almost) exclusively as Lord Neri, solicitor. And if you're a fed then you'll just have to live with that! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
(Again, sorry if I've gone off topic, the one inch screen makes it difficult to concentrate. My wife Kristen also says I'm suffering from chemo brain although I don't see it myself.)
EDIT: My point about criminal law ultimately affecting more citizens rights but it having less material impact was because of the theory of neighbors and Whites "getting that" if you will, Whites over the course of time will actually need those rights that have been decided in critical law LESS BECAUSE Whites tend to be more law abiding than some races therefore negating their interaction with the criminal justice system.
