I'd strip it down, clean it, level and polish the frets, make sure the neck is set properly, put on new strings, clean the pots, check the solder for good connectivity, and then give it a proper set up.
Find the radius of the neck and match it with the bridge. Adjust it for intonation. That sort of stuff - the stuff you pay $100 to a luthier to do for you. You know who to ask if things go wrong or if you have any questions about the process.
