The options are to mic it which, the mic will hit feedback before you hit the proper volume. You cannot move away from the mic even an inch
Clip on mic. Maybe the best option but you have to get the expensive one
Install pickup - has to be a great pickup and then has to go through a pedal for processing. That is the route im taking. I've looked at it every way and cannot find an easier path. This is the guitar I like and I want to get it amplified.
Not real excited about drilling a hole. Putting it off as long as possible
If you're a visual thinker, pretend the mics and speakers are cameras and screens -- but in a pitch black room. The screens emit light, of course, but your instrument also has a screen that you want the camera to be able to see. But it can't be allowed to see the display screens, or you get obvious feedback, and they also need to be able to detect only (mostly) your guitar's screen and not the light bouncing around the room from the displays. Dark filter, shades and blinders, even mesh screens, are all ways you can keep the "cinema" light from ending up in your "camera" light.
That's how I think about it anyway, because I started with cameras before I found music. And I've always thought in pictures, including when I think about how sound moves, rather than intuitively understanding from hearing with my ears.
