You are probably thinking of later impressionist works that may have birthed abstraction and modern art. I’m strictly talking about 19th century early artists, not 20th century evolution. It has the power to reach your inner self like Bach does. Don’t tell me you are not moved when looking at a Monet or a Renoir or a Pissaro! There are more to name whose works are magical. Heck, even Van Gogh who was actually post-impressionism created amazing art
