. It's not about it being an anti-oxidant. It's the function it has in cartilage, etc. buildup
Interesting. Guess Ill keep taking it. I worry a bit about lysine as it might promote tumor growth. If he’s diagnosed with cancer he should discuss the lysine with his doctor and probably stop taking it. Most of these supplements have pros and cons like this. Not C though. There doesn’t seem to be a down side to C other than maybe indigestion.
I do understand about spreading the dose of C across the day, but it seems like a pain in the ass. Could never get my dad to do that.
As far as liposomal, I take than sometimes. I started making my own a while back with one of those sonic jewelry cleaners, a bit of vodka, etc.
How does that work? You got a link or something?
I think the problem with C is that you supposedly shit it out ( can’t be absorbed through the intestines) not piss it out. I guess it depends on what kind of absorption we’re talking about.
had him take ascorbic acid, l-lysine, l-proline, d, k2 mk-7, fish oil, curcumin and aspirin regularly.
Sounds good. Consider adding magnesium glycinate at night. Im doing aspirin every other day. Does he tolerate daily aspirin (lo dose)? It started to irritate me and I had to cut back. Im worried about aspirin for my elderly father who is prone to falls. He takes some supplements but he doesn’t like them/ wont take more than one or two reliably . He does take a C/D/zinc supplement and sometimes mag g. and fish oil.
