Squatting to shit is better for you. If I ever have an upset stomach or a bad time shitting I always use a stool or bend over to simulate a squat. It’s easier on your intestines and you evacuate your bowels more fully.

Also you should use a bidet.

Western toilet etiquette has its own problems.
