Jesus said, Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. - Matthew 5:17
He fulfilled the law, that which has been fully filled can be of no benefit whatsoever by our dirty, filthy rags that we call 'good works' of the law.
No 'jew' was saved by their works of the Torah; what Paul calls the 'beggarly elements'.
Jesus came to fulfill the law, dying, being the testator of the Old, He, God with us, gave us the New; that the law should lead unto the realization that we are all sinners in need of a savior, and God has given us his Son, God's Word, that he should die as a man on the cross for our sins, to do this for us, that we all may believe on him and be saved.
Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
