What a week it has been. And now it is Friday. A damned good day to get together with friends and make some music. A very fine evening to hold us a Friday Night Guitar Thread. Ya'll are welcome. Any instrument, any skill level. Lets sit back and listen or get up and jam, and dance and sing. Why not?

Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, click this link. That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Upgoat.net go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, ask a regular participant (such as @TheRealBuddha or myself)

If you already know what's going on, you probably don't need to click any of those links. You can still visit to see if any changes have been made, as that's also where we kept the archives and have a second forum.

By the way, we're down to just two of us. If you want to help, let us know.

Back when I was single my brother and cousins and I would gather at a cousin's house once a week to jam. It was the absolute best thing ever. I even bought a station wagon just for the purpose of hauling my equipment. If it was raining my stuff would get wet in the back of my truck. The station wagon fixed that.
Enjoy those times while you have them. For everything changes. My one cousin died. My brother is disabled and can't hardly leave his house now, and our other cousin has lost his mind. He is jabbed and boosted to the max and waiting for daddy government to save him. Hard to believe and hard to accept. He was older than me. You know, the cool older cousin that you grew up admiring and wanting to be "just like him".
No more music. No more family get togethers.
Cherish every moment, dude. Before it's gone.
