As a society, we’ve forgotten so much of “how to do things”. Regulations, knowledge gatekeepers, general idiocy, and pure laziness have all contributed to this. Over my life I have engineered and fixed and built more things than I can recall easily and most of it was gawked at by people saying “That will never work” and then when it’s finished and it works “Gosh I can’t believe you did that.” Trust your own mind, trust your own knowledge, trust your ability to learn, and trust your own hands.
